Teddy Bear Picnic

This morning we ventured downtown and fought Austin traffic to go to the Teddy Bear Picnic for the Children's Day Art Park that Austin Symphony puts on. It was a blast! Lexi had her friends Avery, Meagan, and Natalie and Jackson played with Addy. We got there pretty early and the kids got free slinkys and balloons. There were clowns everywhere blowing bubbles and making balloons. There were differnt instuments for them to try out, although I wouldn't let them blow on the clarinets and flutes....I could almost see the germs just hanging out waiting for a body to invade:-) After that, there was a concert with Cowgirl Sue, and a teddy bear contest. (I wish we would have known and we would have brought much cooler bears!!) Then we went into the park for face painting and art tables with clay and arts and crafts. Jackson got a monkey and looked so funny!! The girls all got butterflies of course:-) All in all, it was a very fun morning, but I could have done without the heat!
